Our optical plastic convex lens manufacturing process combines precision engineering with advanced material science. We utilize injection molding technology with specialized optical-grade tooling to produce lenses with surface accuracy within λ/2 (approximately 0.0003mm). The manufacturing process begins with carefully controlled drying of optical plastics (4 hours at 120°C for PC, 2 hours at 80°C for PMMA) to prevent moisture-related defects. We employ scientific molding parameters including precise control of melt temperature (280-320°C for PC, 220-250°C for PMMA), injection speed, and packing pressure to achieve optical-quality results. Our molds feature ultra-smooth cavities (Ra <0.025μm) polished with diamond compounds for optimal surface finish. The production process includes stress-relief annealing to minimize birefringence in critical optical paths. We implement rigorous cleanliness protocols to prevent particulate contamination during manufacturing. Our quality control includes 100% inspection of optical surfaces using interferometry and automated vision systems. The manufacturing process can produce lenses with diameters from 10mm to 300mm and various convex configurations (plano-convex, double-convex, aspheric). We maintain complete traceability for all production batches, with material certifications available upon request.
